I was born in Tacoma, Washington and lived here all my life. I worked for the telephone company retired after 36 years service. Now I am 93 years old.  I started writing poems in my 80’s after the loss of my two children. So God knew I needed something to get me through the lonely days and lonely nights. God got my brain working, now I’m writing poems. Never give up, we never know what tomorrow will bring.       ~ Shirley Summers
